Recently when the Oaks performed at the New York State Fair, Mark Golden, CEO of the prestigious artist's paint manufacturer Golden Paints, and his lovely wife Barb, accepted William's invitation to come to their performance. Though no relations, William and Mark have become friends over the last few years because of their love of art and their family name. Golden Paints are based in upstate New York.

William was stunned this week when he received a large box from Mark and Barb. The box contained an array of newly developed Golden Paints called Open Acrylics. The paints are similar to oil but with some properties of acrylics. William intends to use the new paints on a piece he is just beginning of Monet's garden in France.
