The Goldens are famous for their "throw downs" at their home, Golden Era Plantation. Two to three times a year, William and Brenda will invite 10 to 12 people for food, fellowship and fun. They throw down the stored china and break out the crystal and have a memorable evening, one that they feast upon for a long time. Marcie and Michael English, Shellye and Jason Crabb as well as Tanya and Michael Sykes joined Brenda and William Lee Golden on Wed. August 26 for a grand time. Although the food was good and the company was exhilarating, the singing that took place around the piano after dinner was the sweetest harmonies this side of heaven.
