To answer the many questions about William's beard and how long he has grown it, here are a couple of photos of William before he began allowing his beard to grow. At the age of 41 in 1980, William stopped trimming his beard. He has not trimmed it since. It took almost 3 years to reach the length of 22 inches where it remains.
