A Golden Time in France
William Lee, his wife Brenda and son, Solomon, flew to Paris on Friday, June 12th after performing for Fan Fest in Nashville. Wanting to hone his craft in painting, Golden went to France to study the masters as well as pursue potential art opportunities. They met their close friends and business associates, Flavil Van Dyke and wife Cecelia in Paris. After viewing the Louvre, Notre Dame and Musee' D'Orsay, they traveled to Giverny which is located in the northern providence of Normandy, an hour outside of Paris. Giverny is home to one of William's favorite artist, Claude Monet. The group toured Versailles, the home of King Louise XVI and Marie Antoinette, located on the south side of Paris later the same day.

The myth buster for the Goldens was the reception they received from the French. "Beautiful people and places. Great times and memories. I would like to go back." reflected William Lee. The bearded entertainer was humbled by the recognition he received from American and foreign tourist. The ones who were not familiar with the Oak Ridge Boys were intrigued by his appearance and curious to learn about him, his music and his art.

France the City of Lights and Love.
