William Lee Golden is one of the most recognized personalities in Country and Gospel music, having garnered the highest accolades as a member of the legendary group The Oak Ridge Boys. Now, the renowned “Mountain Man” is climbing to new heights in the world of fine art.

Raised in rural south Alabama, Golden’s distinctive baritone voice took on international stature. The Oak Ridge Boys have had more than a dozen Number One singles and over 30 Top Ten hits with over 30 million records sold. Their numerous Gold and Platinum recordings include “Thank God For Kids,” “American Made,” “Bobbie Sue,” “Ozark Mountain Jubilee,” and the crowd favorite “Elvira.” The Oaks have received seven Grammy Awards, one American Music Award, Four Country Music Awards (CMA) as well as the 2008 CMA Pioneer Award, eight Dove Awards, the Boy Scout’s Silver Buffalo Award, the 2010 SMGM President’s Honor and the induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. The Oak Ridge Boys have received an abundant amount of other national and international acknowledgements.

Golden has personally been awarded the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the Alabama Music Hall of Fame, and “Entertainer of the Year Award” from the Cherokee Indian Association, an organization of fifteen American tribes. The multi-talented artist was honored with an official 2010 invitation to attend the prestigious Bohemian Grove.

William Lee Golden has always observed God’s handwriting in the world. “In my travels around the world, I see the beauty and majesty in each country’s landscape. I try to capture my surroundings on canvas as I see them. My paintings are the backdrops from my life.” Critics and collectors commend his exceptional vision and distinctive approach to color and light.

The original painting entitled Bush Garden is on display and in the permanent collection at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, Texas.

In April of 2007, the prestigious Gilcrease Museum of Art in Tulsa, Oklahoma presented Golden’s autumn landscape named after the hit single, “Ozark Mountain Jubilee.” That same year, the Nashville International Airport selected William Lee as the initial artist to launch their exhibiting hall in Concourse C. Millions of visitors viewed six of William’s original paintings during the 10 month showing. The William Lee Golden Collection has appeared at The Alabama Music Hall of Fame, The Tennessee State Museum and other prominent venues across the United States.

William Lee, his wife Brenda, and his youngest son, Solomon, reside in Hendersonville, TN. His older sons Rusty and Chris live in Tennessee, while his son Craig lives in Pensacola, Fl.
